Full Description: Trail good up to Granite Lake. Creek still running high across and down the trail near wilderness boundary. I would describe crossing as only very moderately difficult. After Granite, much more snow. Steep slope just before Maggies Saddle is covered with snow and is a difficult crossing. Most visitors who attempted to cross it today turned around. One couple described it as difficult but they were able to get to top of South Maggies.
