Full Description: Schmidell Trail is not near Lake Schmidell. It runs from midpoint on the Blakely Trail between Schmidell and Camper Flat, southward towards the Rubicon Trail. It has also been called the Blakely Cutoff trail. It is mostly well-marked, and an interesting sidetrip on the way to Mosquito Pass due to the flower patches.
